Farhan Akhtar denies ‘Raees’ role with Shah Rukh Khan

Rumours of Farhan Akhtar being cast in ‘Raees’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan have been denied.

Talking to Glamsham, Akhtar said the reports of him playing a police officer in the film were not true. He said, “I think somebody jumped the gun. It’s a film that we are producing. Shahrukh is, of course, in the film. But there’s some kind of confusion about me being in it. That’s not entirely true. I was asked whether I was excited to work with Shahrukh. I said yes, but I think it got misconstrued. I’m not in the film as an actor. I’m producing Raees.”

Akhtar will be producing the film. It will be directed by Rahul Dholakia. The film is set for release during Eid in 2015.
