Farhan Akhtar-Deepika Padukone to team up again?

Director Bejoy Nambiar, the man behind Amitabh Bachchan-Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Wazir’ (2016) is all set to direct another project with Akhtar. Nambiar has also approached Deepika Padukone to play the female lead, but is awaiting her return from her ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ shoot.

Nambiar will first start his remake of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Agni Natchathiram’ (1988)��and is keen on simultaneously shooting for this film as well. As according to Mumbai Mirror, a source said, “Bejoy had written the script years ago but the film is taking shape only now. It’s his dream project. The initial plan was to start this before Agni Natchathiram’s remake, but the team is yet to zero in on the female lead. Deepika Padukone is among the actresses who have been approached. The makers are waiting for her to return from the xXx:Return of Xander Cage shoot. Meanwhile, Farhan is set to head to the US to shoot for Nisha Pahuja’s upcoming documentary on the girl chid so it’ll be a while before Bejoy’s film goes on floors.”

If all works out, this film will be Akhtar and Padukone’s second outing together after 2010’s ‘Karthik calling Karthik’.
