Farah Khan’s acting career to halt with first film

If there is one lady in Bollywood who seems to have made her mark in an otherwise male-dominated world, it’s Farah Khan. The choreographer-turned-director will be making her acting debut with Bela Sehgal’s Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi۪ but has already confirmed she will not be signing any more films.

In a statement, according to NDTV, Khan said, “…I won’t be embarrassed by it and won’t have to skip town as I’d thought. But this will be the first and last movie I’ll act in”.

Talking about watching the film, Khan comments, “(Producer) Sanjay Leela Bhansali was keen we watch the movie together and we laughed through it. He’s ecstatic, but I’m more critical”.

Khan’s last film, ‘Tees Maar Khan’ (2010), faired badly at the box office and it is thought she had taken a break from film-making. Rumours have it that her next venture, ‘Happy New Year’ will star Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in lead roles.
