Farah Khan scraps plans for ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake?

After months of rumours surrounding the remake of Raj N Sippy’s Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster ‘Satte Pe Satta’, it seems Farah Khan has scrapped the plans.

Reports say that Khan could not find her leading male star for the film. Initially, there were rumours about Shah Rukh Khan being roped in for the part, followed by Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan. As well as cast woes, Khan also faced legal issues over copyright rules for the remake.

A source told a leading publication, “Back in 1982 Raj Sippy made an unofficial remake of Stanley Donen’s Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. But now with the copyright rules being so rigid it would be difficult do Satte Pe Satta without the relevant legal permission.”
