Farah Khan confirms new actor for 'Happy New Year'

After Farah Khan’s next project ‘Happy New Year’ running in to all sorts of delays, it look’s like the film is making slow but sufficient progress. News has it, that the filmmaker has signed on Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan Shah to play a role in the film.

Khan was in search for someone to play an 18 year old in the film, and Shah acting skills seem to have matched up to the character perfectly. Times of India report a source stating, “Vivaan��has landed a dream role. He will be acting with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani. And this is just his second film.”

Shah made his debut in the Priyanka Chopra starer ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ (2011) playing the boy Chopra’s character supports, who is also narrating the story of how Chopra killed her hsubands. The source goes onto add, “His footage was outstanding. He has the freshness and spontaneity required for the role.”

‘Happy New Year’ is to go on floor by 1st September, where Dubai will be the first set location for the shoot.
