Fans express anger at Star Plus’ decision to axe ‘Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna’

Earlier, it was reported that Star Plus’ early-evening popular series ‘Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna’ will be shutting down later this month, resulting in a planned extension being cancelled.

Fans were hoping the show was to stay on-air for a little longer after reports suggested that an extension had been agreed until Friday 27th September. However, it has been widely reported that the cast and crew were informed about the imminent closure a couple of days ago and will end as planned on Friday 13th September 2019.

Since the news emerged, fans have expressed anger at Star Plus for the way their show and its cast and crew have been treated. A hashtag #ShameOnStarPlus trended on Twitter in India for several hours this evening.

The show helmed by Dipti Kalwani, which stars Zain Imam and Shrenu Parikh, started off with a bang. However, a dip in its ratings, changed the shape of the show with a number of exits and a re-positioning in its storyline. Despite its time slot, ‘Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna’ has proven to do well and has regularly led its slot in the UK market.
