Fahadh Faasil to play lead in ‘Chhichhore’ director Nitesh Tiwari’s next?

Since the rise of OTT platforms, regional films are being praised by members of the Hindi film fraternity. Over the recent months, several Malayalam films have been applauded by Hindi film actors on social media. Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari tweeted that he watched the film ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ (2019) and appreciated Fahadh Faasil’s performance in it.

Pinkvilla reports that there is a buzz that Tiwari’s next film will have Faasil as the lead actor. If it is a Hindi film, it will be the actor’s Bollywood debut. The filmmaker also watched some of Faasil’s other films and tweeted, “#KumbalangiNights #MaheshintePrathikaram #SuperDeluxe #NjanPrakashan, Fahadh Faasil is terrific in whatever role he plays. Discovered him a bit late but a big FAN now. Please keep entertaining us with your superb work brother. #FahadhFaasil.”

Faasil will be next seen in ‘Malik’, a Malayalam crime drama film directed, written and edited by Mahesh Narayan. Originally scheduled to release in April 2020, the release has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
