Facebook sub-licences La Liga India broadcast rights to Sony

Facebook has agreed a sub-licencing with Sony Pictures Networks over the India broadcast rights of the La Liga series.

Sony Pictures Networks was the initial broadcaster of La Liga from 2014 until earlier this year. Facebook then snatched the rights of it for the 2018 – 2021 period for an undisclosed fee. While Facebook will stream La Liga, Sony Pictures Networks will broadcast it after chalking out a deal with the social media giant, according to Indian Television.

Sony Pictures Networks has also renewed its Serie A deal for another three years.
