Just when things were settling down, renowned television producer, Vikas Gupta has revealed the latest twist in his controversial saga with his ex-pal and TV actor, Parth Samthaan.

It maybe recalled that Gupta and Samthaan had a falling-out in public where the latter filed a police complaint of non-payment and molestation against the former. At the time, Gupta publicly admitted that the two were in a relationship, which Ekta Kapoor confirmed and then later retracted her statement. Since then, things had calmed down as Gupta took a step away from the spat to focus on his television work. Meanwhile, Samthaan has been working on his debut film, ‘Hogayi Googli’, which also stars Shahid Kapoor’s sister, Sanah Kapoor.

In an exclusive chat with Raj Baddhan on his ‘Drivetime’ show on Sabras Radio (UK), Gupta admitted that he had not spoken to Samthaan in the past two months and strangely, he had received an invite to his film’s launch. He said, “I have got a personal invitation to come to the press conference of the film and I was surprised because I received this today to come. I think it’s very funny to invite someone who you have accused of molestation a month back of all the nonsense that happened. I’d like to say that maybe it is to amend ways and maybe to sort things out. I’m glad this is happening because I’ve realised that all this stupidity, all this lying, dont take you anywhere.”

In the same interview, Gupta said he stepped back from the public eye as this mentally absorbing, not just him but impacting his family too. He told Baddhan that he had not met Samthaan since the “ugly spat”. He said, “I think there’s still a legal complaint laying in the police station, which needs to be taken care of. I’ve just realised that getting more involved and talking more about this was getting it more publicity, which didn’t really help. I was asking for a public apology but even if a public apology happened on whatever accusations were made towards me, it doesn’t really help as the other “other person” [Samthaan] doesn’t really care about it.”
