EXCLUSIVE: Venus TV takes over from ATN Global

There’s certainly something brewing at the ATN Global camp. It has been confirmed that the channel will cease broadcasting in the next few days and be replaced with Venus TV.

The drastic change comes only months after it was announced ATN Global had itself new management in the shape of Euro Asia Television and Cable Network Limited. The latest move has seen Venus TV takeover from the previous team.

On screen, the new channel will be going on air with a new look early next week. An official announcement on the situation of ATN Global and Venus TV will made by Tuesday next week. Programming on the channel will also be changed with a selection of existing shows from ATN Global remaining on Venus TV with new ones also being introduced.

It is widely known that ATN Global has been struggling to take off with changes in management since day one. The channel was previously known as “ATN” and changed to “ATN Global” earlier this year. ATN Global had also recently acquired a batch of serials from Sahara One. It is not currently known if these programmes will air on the new Venus TV.

ATN Global is currently off air and is showing a blue screen. It can be found on Sky EPG 827.
