EXCLUSIVE: Vectone World to launch Monday

It has finally been confirmed! Vectone’s new South Asian news channel Vectone World is launching this coming Monday (24th January) on Sky Digital.

The international phone card provider already has a network of four channels and will become the UK’s biggest Asian TV network with the launch of its fifth channel Vectone World.

Vectone World will broadcast round the clock in the style similar to the one used by Euro News on Sky EPG 528. This means, the Vectone channel will not be using any anchors to front its bulletins and will rely on on-screen graphics and detailed reports on news items. Presenters maybe added to the Vectone World channel at a later date depending on the response of the service.

We were also told exclusively by a network insider that it was initially to launch another Vectone channel but saw a gap in the market with Vectone World being the UK’s first South Asian news channel. The channel will be covering news from all over the world with extra scope on news from South Asia. Vectone World will broadcast free-to-air on Sky Digital EPG 537.

Visual and audio tests can be seen off the Sky EPG 11.642 (V) under the test label “50961” on Sky Digital only.
