Exclusive: Star TV partners up for SLAM 2014

Star TV UK has signed an exclusive media partnership deal with ‘SLAM – The Tour’, which takes place at The O2 in London.

BizAsia can exclusively reveal that the biggest Asian television network will have full access to the SLAM London tour. Details of the partnership are still under contract and will be revealed in the coming days. However, BizAsia understands that organisers of the show had been offered many deals by other rival broadcasters but it was Star TV UK that they decided to go along with. This will be seen as the first biggest scoop under the helm of Gurjeev Singh Kapoor, who joined Star TV as President of Star International Business in May 2014.

Talking to BizAsia, a spokesperson from Star TV UK said, “We are excited to be a part of a never-done-before show like SLAM.”

SLAM 2014 features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, amongst many others.
