EXCLUSIVE: STAR to launch six new shows
It’s going to be a hectic month for India’s leading channel STAR Plus in February. The channel is going all out with the launch of six new shows including one major chat show and a mega Balaji soap.
Top of the list is the eagerly awaited Koffee With Karan chatshow with film director Karan Johar. He will be taking over the reigns as host of the huge show with a chat like no other with his favourite Bollywood stars. The series goes live on Sunday 13th February at 21:00 with Bollywood’s two most loved stars-Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol being interviewed first.
STAR Plus is already known for its gripping soaps and come February it will be showing off its mega serial from the house of Balaji Telefilms (Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kkusum, Kohi Apna Sa fame). Titled Kkavyanjali, a story based on characters Kkavya and Anjali who fall in love at first sight. This serial also sees the comeback of Amrita Singh, the silver screen goddess who now sets the small screen on fire with her stellar performance. Kkavyanjali kicks off on Monday 14th February at 22:30.
Other new shows to watch out for are college based drama Jeet, which begins on Friday 18th February at 22:00. Another new teenage drama titled Hello Dollie, which debuts on Monday 14th February at 19:00.
For viewers who enjoy thrillers and suspense dramas with the Asian touch don’t miss two new shows also starting next month titled Kalcchakra (18th February at 23:00) and Koie Na Jaane (13th February at 23:00).
The channel will also be premiering the box office blockbuster Lakeer starring Sunny Deol, Suneil Shetty, John Abraham and Sohail Khan on Saturday 12th February at 21:00.
