The much awaited launch of popular Pakistani TV channel, Hum TV will take place in March, BizAsia can exclusively confirm.
The channel, which will be known as Hum Europe will be go live on the Sky Digital EPG from Monday 3rd March 2014. An EPG number will be confirmed by BSkyB next week. Hum TV will broadcast free-to-air.
Hum TV’s marketing and sales will be handled by independent agencies. There were rumours of Hum TV signing up with Sky Media for mainstream ad sales – but this has been denied. However, this option they will look at a later date. This also means that the channel will not go BARB rated straightaway but later in the year.
Hum TV started testing on Sky Digital in UK on Monday, however picture and audio tests are currently awaited. They are expected within the next couple of days.

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.222 (H), FEC: 2/3, SR: 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight ���52050? service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> ���52050? should be listed and available
