ARY Digital TV Network has confirmed to Biz Asiatoday that it is indeed launching new channels this year.

The Pakistani broadcaster, which already runs the hugely successful ARY Digital channel on Sky Digital, will be launching a further three channels.

ARY Digital will be unveiling two of the three channels at a special launch evening next weekend. The next two channels to make their mark from the ARY bouquet of channels will be QTV (Qurani TV) and One World.

Following on from the launches of these two channels will be the introduction of the UK’s first Pakistani TV music channel The Muzik.

A date for the channel’s launch on Sky Digital will be announced at the big event next weekend, where London Mayor Ken Livingston is also expected to make a speech. It is predicted that the religious channel QTV and current affairs service One World will be launching in October and The Muzik in December.

Keep it with Biz Asia for the very latest on these channels.
