EXCLUSIVE: Aaj Tak set to join MAX Mix pack

BizAsia.co.uk can exclusively reveal that India’s leading news broadcaster Aaj Tak will be joining the MAX Mix package, when it launches next week.

An insider confirmed that MAX Mix, which currently includes the movies and entertainment channel MAX from Sony Entertainment Television Asia and the newly launched Sahara One and Filmy channels, will see Aaj Tak be made a part of the bundle soon.

MAX is set to make an official announcement on Aaj Tak’s UK launch in a press conference on Wednesday 8th August in Central London. Aroon Purie, Chairman & Managing Director, TV Today Network, Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, Sony Entertainment Television and G Krishnan, CEO and Executive Director, TV Today Network will be present at the event.

Aaj Tak launches in the UK on Sky Digital on Monday 6th August and is expected to broadcast free-to-air initially before being bundled up with the MAX Mix.

Aaj Tak tests have been running off the Sky EPG since last weekend. They can be viewed in the following way:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.259 (V), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “52159” service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “52159” should be listed and available
