Erica Fernandes on playing a modern day Prerna in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’

Popular star Erica Fernandes has revealed that her character Prerna in Star Plus’ iconic show ‘Kausatii Zindagii Kay’ will have a modern approach, despite it being a second run of the classic series.

In an interview with Raj Baddhan on Sabras Radio’s ‘Drivetime’, Fernandes said, “I haven’t met Shweta Tiwari (original Prerna) but I hope to meet her soon. For me what is more important is that we’re two different actors. For me, I will look at Prerna in a different way. It’ll not be the similar way how she looked at Prerna. I will have a slight different approach in playng Prerna. For me, I am Prerna today and I will play how I look at Prerna in today’s world. I want girls my age to relate to my character.”

Fernandez denied that ‘Kausatii Zindagii Kay’ is a remake or a continuation of the first series. She said, “Its Kausati for 2018. They’re not going to have how Kausati was made then as people enjoyed that type of drama and today TV shows are a lot more relateable. Its for today’s generation. Our way of thinking is different and we’re liberal and modernised. Its going to be made for us.”

The first promo of ‘Kausatii Zindagii Kay’ went live over the weekend.
