'Shaatir' renamed 'Raja Natwarlal'

Emraan Hashmi’s next has had a title change on the insistence of the actor, BizAsia has learnt. A film that was once named ‘Shaatir’ is now called ‘Raja Natwarlal’.

Explaining his decision, Hashmi told TOI, “I’ve been after the producers to change the title as it is extremely catchy and etches out my character. It fits in well with the film’s space and will help us in promotions”.

Kunal Deshmukh who directs the film also said, “I always wanted to present Emraan in a never-seen-before avatar. He plays the modern-day Natwarlal. The title is apt”.

Hashmi’s character in the film is based on a real-life character who was a conman. He is paired with Humaima Malick in the movie which will see her debut. It’s slated for release on 29th August.
