Emraan Hashmi’s Hollywood film to be shelved?
It had first come into news over a year ago that Emraan Hashmi had signed a film with Oscar-winning director, Danis Tanovic. The first schedule of the film was completed with shooting in various parts of Mumbai and Punjab in the early months of 2013. However, news is that the film may now be shelved or postponed indefinitely as there has not been much progress since.
There hasn۪t been any talk of the next schedule of the film taking off right now, a source revealed to Absolute India.
The source also went on to say that this could be due to Hashmi۪s unavailability as he is, currently shuttling between Canada and India for his son Ayaan۪s treatment. He is also shooting for Vikram Bhatt۪s Mr X۪.
Financial reasons are also being speculated as one of the other causes for the film possibly being stalled. The film has no takers despite having a name like Danis. All these factors together may force the film to be shelved or get delayed indefinitely, the source concluded.
Tanovic had earlier directed the Bosnian movie No Man۪s Land۪ (2001) which won him an Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film۪ category.
