Emraan Hashmi to play Alia Bhatt’s husband in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’?

Earlier this week, it was revealed on BizAsiaLive.com that Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi were to play pivotal roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt.
While rumours suggest that Devgn portrays the role of a gangster, it has now emerged that Hashmi will be seen in a role of Bhatt’s husband, who sells her off to a brothel.
It is said that Hashmi’s character is adapted from a chapter from S Hussain Zaidi’s book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’. Rumours say that the role was initially offered to Kartik Aaryan but it ultimately went to Hashmi.
