Emraan Hashmi preferred Azhar’s first wife Naureen’s realness

Mohammad Azharuddin’s biopic, ‘Azhar’, is on the eve of release. Emraan Hashmi, who plays the titular role in the film, has gone on record to express how he may have lived the cricketer’s life differently if he had been Azhar.

When asked if he would have chosen Azhar’s first wife��Naureen or��actress Sangeeta Bijlani, Hashmi told��Deccan Chronicle, “I think Naureen… I guess because she is more real, without the glam element.”

While Naureen’s character is being portrayed by Prachi Desai in the biopic, Azharuddin’s second wife Sangeeta Bijlani is being essayed by Nargis Fakhri.

Directed by Tony D’Souza, ‘Azhar’ releases on 13th May.
