Emraan Hashmi positive about son’s battle with cancer

The news that BizAsia reported in January shocked many. Reports that Emraan Hashmi’s 4-year-old son was suffering with cancer was indeed something hard to fathom. However, five months on, Hashmi is positive about his son’s battle with the illness.

He said to Mumbai Mirror, “You need to switch gears and focus. I shot both Raja Natwarlal and Mr. X for a month in South Africa, while Ayan was getting treated. Throughout his illness, I managed to hold fast to the belief that everything will be alright. He’s healthy and back home now”.

Referring to the much talked about ‘Badtameez Dil’ which is a joint Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor production, the actor commented, “Akshay (director Akshay Roy) was still writing it when I had consented to do the film. I don’t really know what happened after that. Then, everybody just upped and walked away from the project. Now I hear, it’s happening, but with different actors”.

Hashmi will be seen next in ‘Raja Natwarlal’ and ‘Mr X’ – both of which will see him in different avatars.
