Ekta Kapoor’s erotic film faces more delays

Ekta Kapoor has never been one to shy away from producing “over-the-top” content, however this rarely comes without some trouble. The release of her erotic film titled ‘XXX’ which is facing issues, having been delayed further than she had hoped.

As Mumbai Mirror reports, the film, starring fresh faces Kyra Dutt, Aparnaa Bajpai, Pryanca Talukdar and Aparna Sharma, was planned to release during summer of 2016. However when that didn’t happen it was presumed that Kapoor wanted to release the film at the same time as the launch of the new Balaji video app ‘ALT’. Nothing seems to be clear about it all, as a source was reported revealing, “Around May-June we were informed that the film should release in the next couple of months but there has been no update after that. Everybody from the film’s team seems to be equally clueless.”

When contacted, Sameer Nair, group CEO, Balaji Telefilms explained, “There are various shows being planned for ‘ALT’ which we will announce one by one. As of now, there are no plans for ‘XXX’ on the app.’ XXX’ has been completed and is in post-production. We haven’t given it’s release much thought yet but it won’t happen anytime soon. We are currently busy with TV, preparing for ‘ALT’, among other things.”

‘ALT’ is said to be an edgy and unique video content app made by Balaji Telefilms, that will appeal to Indian audiences worldwide.
