Ekta Kapoor to rival ‘Milan Talkies’ with ‘Happy New Year’
Not learning from her mistake by rivalling ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’, Ekta Kapoor is reportedly set to release ‘Milan Talkies’ next year at the same time as King Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’.
Even though, Kapoor is yet to start her next film, she has told her team to speed up the pre-production so shooting commences soon. A source told Mid-Day, ���Ekta recently replaced Imran Khan with Shahid Kapoor for her film while the hunt for the female lead opposite him is still on. She has also requested director Tigmanshu Dhulia to complete the shoot in time so that she gets enough time for marketing the film.�
Kapoor is said to be upset that her film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ failed to work at the box office and part of that blame allegedly went to Khan due to the overwhelming success of ‘Chennai Express’.
The source added, ���If Ekta decides to release her film next year on Diwali, it could prove to be a tough situation for SRK.� Farah�۪s film too has been delayed as much time was spent looking for the right cast. Happy New Year went on the floors yesterday. However, Ekta�۪s spokesperson rubbishes the buzz. She says, ���The casting is yet to happen.�
