Ekta Kapoor to launch Amrita Rao on TV?

Bollywood actress, Amrita Rao, was in the news earlier this year after having been replaced in a TV serial owing to the producers apparently thinking she looked too old for the role in question.�� The latest news is that Rao will now be making her small screen acting debut with an Ekta Kapoor production.�� The serial will air on Life OK and Rohit Roy is expected to play the male lead.

���Amrita must have realised that her film career is going nowhere��_ She had even admitted that some of her projects had not materialised too,�۝ a source told Absolute India.

Rao, who had made her acting debut with ��Ab Ke Baras�۪ (2002), has been a part of successful films such as ��Ishq Vishk�۪ (2003), ��Main Hoon Na�۪ (2004) and ��Vivah�۪ (2006) in the past.

Currently, Rao�۪s sister, Preetika Rao, is acting in Colors TV�۪s ��BeIntehaa�۪.
