Ekta Kapoor signs Disha Patani for first time in next film

Ekta Kapoor has signed Disha Patani for the first time in one of her upcoming projects.

According to reports, Patani will play the character of a small town Punjabi girl. It is a film written by Raaj Shaandilyaa, who previously worked with Kapoor on their hit film ‘Dream Girl’.

Talking about signing Patani, Kapoor said, “Disha has a strong connect with the youth and I couldn’t think of anyone else who could portray the wild yet innocent, and crazy yet sensible character. To add to that, Disha’s oomph takes it notches higher.”

Patani made her Bollywood debut with ‘MS Dhoni: An Untold Story’ and has also appeared in ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Bharat’. She will also be seen in ‘Malang’, which has just recently wrapped up.
