Ekta Kapoor reveals the difference between cinema & television

Known as the ‘queen of television’, Ekta Kapoor has also had her fair share of successes on the big screen. Kapoor recently spoke about the difference between both mediums and why she is more comfortable experimenting with films as opposed to television��content.

PTI quote Kapoor as saying, “It��is easier to experiment way more in films, not so much in TV. We have one TV in home and 10 people sitting and watching it…��That respect has to be there keeping in mind that you are going to so many homes, culture and thought processes…��But in films you put out a promo and say ‘this is what I offer, if you want to watch, pay the money and come.’ That way you can do a lot more experimentation in films.”

Over the years, Kapoor has produced a number of iconic television shows, including ‘Hum Paanch’, ‘Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and the currently on-air ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’.

On��the cinema front, her latest release was ‘Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3’ (2016).
