Ekta Kapoor forced to change title of ‘Mental Hai Kya’

After uproar from mental health charities, Ekta Kapoor has been forced to change the title of its upcoming film ‘Mental Hai Kya’ featuring Kangna Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao.

With pressure mounting on Kapoor to change the film title, it is expected that a new name will be announced imminently. A source told Deccan Chronicle, “They thought the controversy would die down and they can release the film with the same title (Mental Hai Kya). But far from dying, the controversies surrounding the title are just growing.”

The source added, “The team is left with little choice now. They either change or face the consequences. It means heavy losses through added expenditure as the title has to be changed on all the posters hoarding and other publicity. But it has to be done.”
