Ekta Kapoor demands Rs.1.5 crore from Sanjay Dutt

Ekta Kapoor has claimed that Sanjay Dutt owes her Rs. 1.5 crore over a film, which she was to co-produce with Suneil Shetty.

Mumbai Mirror reports that Dutt is facing a lawsuit from Kapoor, who is represented by Naik Naik & Co.

The report adds that Shetty tried to amicably sort out the issue by approaching Dutt’s wife Manyata but nothing materialised from it.

Apparently the issue stretches back to 2008 when Kapoor and Sanjay had locked a mega deal, which was followed by a falling out between the two. According to the paper, Ekta at the time had paid Sanjay 1.5 crore as signing amount for the film.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, ” Money is money. And Ekta wants her money back. What’s wrong in that? It is a justified demand and the Dutts should pay up.”
