Ekta Kapoor on her decision not to shutdown film production house

It came to a shock to many when Ekta Kapoor announced that she will be closing down her film production house last year. However with the producer getting back on track with her forthcoming project ‘Veere Di Wedding’, it seems she’s got everything under control again.

Talking to the media about her decision to shut shop, DNA India reports Kapoor explaining “When you have a lot of flops because of the piracy issue and various other problems — I had an issue with every film I made last year — you get bogged down. But then you always pull up your socks and start again. That’s what we have done. We have started ‘Veere Di Wedding’, the shooting of which will start soon. ”

Having had an extra bit of time during the shut down, it seem the film maker made all the right plans in order for the re-opening of the production house to be a success, and getting involved with multiple projects. “I will be co-producing ‘Laila Majnu’ with Imtiaz Ali Khan. It will be a contemporary take on the love story. I will also be announcing another film very soon,” she added.

There were also reports that Kapoor would be the one responsible for giving Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan her debut in a film titled ‘Kedarnath’. Talking about this, Kapoor explained, “The finances are still being worked out. Till they are worked out properly, I can’t make any announcements.”

In the meantime, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ will be a multi-starer which includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaksar.
