Not all films are based from one person’s original idea and it’s not uncommon for many filmmakers to run into copyright issues where a writer who has been rejected, suddenly sees his script as a part of a film. This is something that the makers of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012) are currently facing.

According the Bollywood Hungama, writer Anand Panda found it very alarming that the film had many similarities to the rejected script he approached Yash Raj Films with. Because of this, the writer has filed a complaint to Amboli Police Station stating that the filmmakers have done this and not given him any compensation for it.

A case like this is not rare in the Bollywood film industry. Apparently films such as ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007), ‘Ra.One’ (2011) and ‘Desi Boyz’ (2011) to name a few, had run into the same dilemma. The complaint for the Salman Khan starrer has been directed towards producer Aditya Chopra and director Kabir Khan. The verdict of the appeal will be announced at Bombay High Court.
