‘EastEnders’ new Tamwar plot “will surprise fans”

BBC One’s ‘EastEnders’ upcoming storyline featuring Tamwar Masood played by Himesh Patel will apparently surprise fans, according to the star.

In episodes to be shown next week, Tamwar will rekindle his relationshop with former flame Afia Khan (Meryl Fernandes), who he briefly kissed at brother Syed’s (Marc Elliott) wedding last December.

In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Himesh said, “I’m glad that I’m able to explore another side to Tamwar’s character. The best thing about him is that he’s so layered. You peel away one layer and see something else underneath.

“I think the audience is going to be surprised by what they see next. Who knows, there could even be a wild side in there.”

In another interview, Himesh said that his character will stumble across an obstacle. He added, “There’s one very, very big obstacle to overcome. It’s something that Tamwar couldn’t possibly prepare himself for.”
