Dunya News acquires Sky EPG slot
The soon-to-launch, Pakistani news service, Dunya News has inched closer to its UK launch on Sky Digital by acquiring an EPG slot.
Alliance Advertising & Marketing who is handling the global sales of the popular channel, confirmed to BizAsia that the acquisition was complete and transfer was in process. Mr Faheem Farooqui is the managing partner of Alliance Advertising and Marketing.
A spokesperson for Alliance Advertising & Marketing said, “We are pleased to announce this much awaited updates regarding Dunya TV, the acquisition of EPG number clears the pathway for UK viewers to watch some quality News and entertainment courtesy of Dunya News.”
Prior, Dunya News had appointed Alliance Advertising & Marketing as their exclusive agents in USA and other global regions. The channel is currently well established in the USA market and Alliance Advertising & Marketing will now be responsible for its advertising sales in USA ; Mr. Shawl stated that they will start commencing advertising spot sales of Dunya News in USA from the 12th of March 2015. Dunya News has been giving strong competition to the other news channels in Pakistan and will expand the bouquet of Pakistani News & Current affairs channels in UK giving more choice to British viewers as well as a chance for them to view iconic Dunya News programmes such as ‘Hasb-e-Haal’ and ‘Mazaq Raat’.
