One of India’s most popular television actresses, Drashti Dhami has become quite the household favourite. However she feels that though, prominent roles for actresses now are more accepted by audiences as time moves on, there still room for development.
“Audiences have started liking different content, but they need to evolve. They should let us give them something new,” Hindustan Times reported the actress expressing.
She went on to add, “We are slowly getting there, as we have moved on from the saas-bahu soaps and the doormat women themes, and are doing shows like ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (2011), where the protagonist plays an IPS officer. In the future, we will be able to give better content.”
Dhami is currently seen in ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ on Star Plus.
