British musician Dr Zeus has been in the news recently when his once colleague and friend Kanika Kapoor branded him a “cheat” in a recent interview. However, when Zeus was asked about the singer in a recent chat with a leading daily, his reaction was an interesting one.
Talking about the track Lovely (and Kamlee) which was composed by him and sung by Kapoor for last year’s ‘Happy New Year’, Zeus divulged, according to Mumbai Mirror, “I’d have preferred Sunidhi Chauhan or even a girl from Punjab. It wouldn’t have made a difference because my job as a producer is to make the vocals shine which I think I have accomplished, given what was first sent to me”.
Zeus admits that his lawyers are due to release an official statement soon on his spat with Kapoor. However, he was not ready to give any kind of comments about the singer on print, “I don’t want to even mention her name. All I can say is that this is the last song I will produce for her”.
Zeus-produced tracks will be heard in Kapil Sharma’s debut movie, called ‘Kiss Kiss Ko Pyaar Karoon’.
