‘Dostana’ director Tarun Mansukhani to make a return

After 2008’s ‘Dostana’ became a much-loved film, director Tarun Mansukhani hasn’t really been associated with another film. However, BizAsia has learnt that Mansukhani will soon be coming back with a new film but it probably won’t be with a sequel to his first movie.

News has it that Mansukhani took a script for ‘Dostana 2′ a couple of times to Karan Johar but that the two didn’t agree on one. Now, Mansukhani is apparently set to direct a new film as well as do a few short films for the digital audience.

No doubt Yash Raj Film’ online series have once again changed the state of play for the talent behind the scenes of films and if Mansukhani stays with Dharma Productions, perhaps he could be the one hailing the digital platform for them.

An official confirmation is indeed awaited.
