Doordarshan News temporarily off air

India state broadcaster Doordarshan�۪s news channel DD News is currently experiencing a technical glitch on Sky Digital resulting in it being off air since Tuesday this week.

According to a channel spokesman, the fault is down to an uplinking satellite error, which is currently being seen to by engineers. The channel has told us to ensure viewers that DD News will return on Sky within the next few days but was uncertain about specific details.

Its flagship channel DD India continues to broadcast as normal. DD News broadcasts selected shows live from India, others are shown on delay live basis.
