The release date of ‘Baby’ had been locked for 23rd January 2015 a few weeks ago and it seemed the film will have a solo ride at the box office, however, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ will now also release on the same date.
‘Dolly Ki Doli’, which was set for release initially in early February, has been shifted to 23rd January – giving the light-hearted film advantage of the India Republic Day holiday.
“Yes, this way the film is clashing with Baby but then it belongs to an altogether different genre. Moreover, Republic Day advantage is huge; it cannot be ignored,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Producer Arbaaz Khan confirmed the news to the Bollywood site, “We were always contemplating various dates and now have settled down to January23. I am told this should be a good date, considering the fact that films like Dolly Ki Doli do require a week to settle down and then consolidate from there.”
The next big film, which will oppose ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ will be ‘Shamitabh’ two weeks later on 6th February.
