DM Global selling its Sky EPG slot?

Rumours are rife of Manchester based entertainment channel, DM Global selling its Sky EPG slot.

The channel, which disappeared from the Sky EPG line-up last month, was available on channel 799. It has been away from the Sky EPG for nearly a month, which makes it the longest period of absence.

In the past, DM Global has been removed from the Sky EPG but returned days later but this time the long wait has fueled speculation about the channel’s future. Despite its share of problems with Ofcom and Sky, DM Global created its niche with a loyal viewership.

There are various parties said to be interested in the vacant Sky EPG, with a couple of the major Asian TV broadcasters planning to launch more channels. It remains to be seen if DM Global returns or which other broadcaster will snap up the coveted EPG position.

BizAsiaLive.com contacted DM Global for a comment but they did not respond at the time of filing this article.
