DM Global has landed itself in hot water with media regulator Ofcom with a fine of 25,000.

According to a statement from Ofcom, the channel repeatedly failed to provide recordings when requested.

Each of Ofcom۪s requests to DM Global Media Limited followed standards or fairness complaints received about programmes aired on the channel. DM Global Media Limited was later found to be in breach of the licence conditions requiring it to provide recordings when requested, in relation to ten separate cases between January and April 2015.

Having considered all relevant factors, and DM Global Media Limited۪s representations on the matter, Ofcom has decided a financial penalty of 25,000 is appropriate and proportionate.

In July 2013, Ofcom fined the then ‘DM Digital’ 100,000 for breaches relating to two offensive Islamic religious programmes. Prior to this, DM Digital was fined 15,000 for claims made on a live health show.

DM Global recently ceased reporting to BARB for official viewing data.
