DM Digital, the UK’s youngest Asian TV channel, currently available on Sky Digital only is sprucing up its programming with documentaries and one mega movie.
The Manchester based channel has produced an exclusive documentary on the Late Zulfiqar Bhutto (Former Prime Minister of Pakistan). Part 1 one was aired recently which resulted in a phenomenal response from the viewers.
This was the first time a documentary of ex-statesmen of Pakistan was ever allowed to be broadcasted on Pakistani television.
With this documentary alone, the channel has claimed it is currently in the forefront in terms of Urdu channels in Pakistan. DM Digital will be milking the success of the documentary further with a second part being screened today (Saturday) at 19:00 and on Sunday on DM Digtal Gold (822) at 20:30.
DM Digital is also launching a top Pakistani Drama Serial ‘Baraf Baneray’ based on the Kashmiris in the UK. This is a result of continuous demand from the Kashmiris settled in the UK.
It is also in the process of preparing numerous documentaries based on true life events based on the Asian population settled in the UK and Europe.
Over the past few weeks, the channel has been airing movie premieres from Lollywood. Its latest acqusition is ‘Tere Pyar Meh’, which is being described as the ‘Veer Zaara’ of Lollywood. The premiere of ‘Tere Pyar Meh’ will be screened tonight on DM Digital.
DM Digital is also in advanced stages of launching its third channel in the UK. DM Islam TV will be available on Sky Digital from July, this year.
