Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya clarifies she is not unprofessional

One of Indian television’s most popular faces, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya has shutdown rumours of her being unprofessional after a turbulent few days for the ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ star.

Taking to Facebook this week, Tripathi Dahiya said, “Why I’m doing this session is because so many of you must be wondering what happens in Divyanka’s life generally. Is she working…she is not even visible in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. My co-actors feel she doesn’t like to work anymore. She doesn’t like to give dates. But I am working on two shows Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Coldd Lassi was an old commitment and kept getting delayed for hundreds of reasons. I had to start shooting for it November and December, but somehow the project got delayed.”

She added, “Since the dates were blocked for it (CLACM), I couldn’t be used for Mohabbatein. After that I took up Voice that was for my staff..because they wanted me to work. So I had to work for three shows together..life is unpredictable…suddenly everything comes and you have to manage. Our life is full of ups and down, it’s just that people don’t know how it works.”

Tripathi Dahiya said that she experienced a similar incident during her first show ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’, elaborating on this. She said, “Years back when I was doing my first show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. I have my everything to the show–my heart, soul. There were some people in the production house who were not fond of me. So, in order to shrug off their own responsibility and keep their own mistakes hidden, they maligned my image. I was the soft target. The higher authorities listened to them and in fact post this incident people stopped giving me work by calling me unprofessional.”

Tripathi Dahiya is juggling between digital show ‘Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala’ opposite Rajeev Khandelwal and the long-running series ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’.
