Divya Khosla Kumar says Pulkit-Yami affair “not a publicity stunt”?

Much has been said about Pulkit Samrat�۪s alleged affair with ��Sanam Re�۪ co-star Yami Gautam following his separation from wife Shweta Rohira. However, although neither actors have come forward to admit anything, director Divya Khosla Kumar spoke about them in a recent interview, and she has said that speculation is not a publicity stunt for the film.

She spoke to Filmfare and commented on their reported affair, ���If I could take a risk with five newcomers in Yaariyan and make it a hit then why would I do this for publicity with my second movie? That�۪s not my filmmaking philosophy. In fact a television channel had approached us with the idea of playing Yami and Pulkit�۪s real life affair all day in their channel because it will give required footage to the movie. When my department suggested that to me, I completely put my foot down. That�۪s because I don�۪t agree with it. It�۪s not a publicity stunt. The media is writing about it because the power of pen is not in our hands. The media is writing what they want to – we have not fed them these stories.�۝

Talking about the clash ��Sanam Re�۪ will have with ��Fitoor�۪ which releases on the same day, Khosla Kumar comments, ���Even during Yaariyan, Dedh Ishqiya released on the same day but I just concentrated on my own film. As a filmmaker it�۪s important for me to be confident about my own craft. I definitely rely on my talent. I�۪m not thinking about anything but Sanam Re. The film has a destiny of its own and it will reach where it has to reach.�۝
