Divya Dutta on Kangna Ranaut: “Did she really just say that?”
Kangna Ranaut has become one of the most sought out actors after the tremendous success of ‘Queen’ (2014) and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (2015), but her recent comments during the promotions of her next, ‘Katti Batti’ has not gone down too well with the critically acclaimed Divya Dutta. Dutta took to Twitter to share her opinion.
As according to Pinkvilla, Ranaut has been speaking out about the unhealthy competition between her and her contemporaries, as they aren’t reacting kindly to her success. Ranaut recently stated, “I started from ‘B grade films’ and today I’m the number one actress of this country…whereas other actresses, whom you might call my contemporaries, they have had no growth in whatever platform they were launched…they are still there and have not risen to another platform. Name one actress who could’ve played Datto or done Queen.”
These recent comments have irked Divya Dutta who took to Twitter to remind the actress that there is a lot of talent around. She said, (@divyadutta25) “Did she really say that. Only one gets the opportunity to get the right thing at the right time. Be grateful coz there’s a lot of talent around.”
Ranaut has not reacted to Dutta’s comments as of yet and iscurrently in Paris forits premiere of ‘Queen’. Meanwhile, ‘Katti Batti’ is slated to release next week, and sees Ranaut opposite Imran Khan for the first time.
