On the occasion of Divya Bharti’s 30th death anniversary, BizAsiaLive.com looks closely at movies she had signed but were later replaced with other actresses when she passed away.
Bharti’s death remains a mystery, who allegedly fell from the fifth floor of her Mumbai residence. She was 19.
The actress was on top of her game and dominating the Hindi film industry with a number of blockbuster film titles. Before her death, she had agreed a handful of films, which were then passed on to other actresses after her demise.
Ladala
Sridevi had re-shot the entire film after Bharti had shot over half of the 1994 blockbuster.
Mohra
Raveena Tandon replaced Bharti in the Rajiv Rai directed 1994 film.

Sanjay Kapoor had confirmed recently that before Juhi Chawla, it was actually Bharti who had shot parts of the 1995 film before her death.

Govinda was to star opposite Bharti again after ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’ but this wasn’t meant to be. The film was then given to Mamta Kulkarni.
It is worth stating that after the death of Bharti, films like ‘Rang’, ‘Dil Hi Toh Hai’ and ‘Shatranj’ were released.
