The much awaited launch of new digital platform, Disney+ in the UK has been preponed by one week.

The service, which was initially due to launch at the end of March, will now be available to consumers on 24th March 2020. As well as UK, Disney+ will also be available in Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland on the same date. Disney+ has been priced at £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year.

Disney’s chairman and CEO Robert Inger said last year, “We are confident that the combination of our unrivalled storytelling, beloved brands, iconic franchises, and cutting-edge technology will make Disney+ a standout in the marketplace, and deliver significant value for consumers and shareholders alike.”
