Disney+ loses 2.4 million subscribers in final quarter of 2022
Disney+ has lost 2.4 million subscribers in the final quarter of 2022, with the biggest losses attributed to India/South East Asia due to the loss of the IPL digital rights.
Bob Iger, CEO of the company revealed that Disney+ Hotstar lost 3.8 million subscribers in fiscal Q1. It ended the quarter with 161.8 million subscribers.
In the US/Canada, Disney+ gained 200,000 subscribers to reach 46.6 million. Disney now has 163.4 million streaming subscribers.
