Disney likely to sell 60% of its India unit to Viacom18

Disney will reportedly sell 60 per cent of its India unit to Reliance’s Viacom18.
Reports are rife that the the deal is set to finalised later this month.
Disney and Viacom18 signed a non-binding pact in December 2023 in London. It was attended by Kevin Meyer for Disney, while Mukesh Ambani’s close aide Manoj Modi from Reliance was present for the agreement signing.

Earlier reports suggested that the stock-and-cash merger was to be split 51:49 in favour of Reliance.
