Disha Vakani to return in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’

Having given birth to her daughter in November, Disha Vakani who plays the very popular Daya ben in the hit series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008-present), hasn’t been back to work since, and it seems her fans are becoming restless to see her back. However, if the news is to be believed, they won’t have to wait long, as the makers will be making a special episode which will see she will be a big part of.

According to Pinkvilla, the makers of the show plan to have an episode where Daya Ben and Jethalal played by Dilip Joshi will have flashbacks, remembering their past. As the actress is still on her maternity, she won’t be returning to the sets just yet, so the makers plan to dig through their archives and fish out some of the best moments, between the two character.

There have been rumours that Vakani was to quit the show. When asked about if she will be returning to the show or not, the programme’s producer Asit Kumar Modi explained, “The shooting conditions are tough and since Disha’s baby is still very young she needs her. We haven’t discussed about her return yet and there is no official confirmation on Disha quitting ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.”
