With her last film ‘Baaghi 2’ (2018) only just having been released, Disha Patani is already in the midst of preparing for her next role in a period drama titled ‘Sangamithra’. If the news is to be believed, the film has been scheduled to go on the floors as early as July.
To be helmed by Sundar C, Pune Mirror reports a source revealing, “The film will be on the lines of SS Rajamouli’s period-drama ‘Baahubali’(2015) and will release in two parts.”
The film was announced at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where Shruti Haasan had been signed for the part. However due to delays, she had to opt out of the project. It has also been revealed that the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and Patani will be working on the film for most of the year.
“Shooting will take place in Hyderabad on sets very similar to ‘Baahubal’i. It will be filmed on a grand scale and if everything goes according to plan, the first part will be unveiled next year,” the source added.
